Rye Meads Febuary 2018
This moorhen was standing contemplating a stick. Maybe nesting material or the starting position for this years nest, We’ll see next time.
Seen at Rye Meads febuary 2018.
There were a few of these here on the day, both light and dark ruffs.
Most of the watere here was covered in weed.
Someone said there were up to 4 kestrel chicks in this box. Again taken from the kingfisher hide.
Saw this from the kingfisher hide. Assuming it is a Chiffchaff because of the dark legs, didn’t hear it sing though.
There were a couple of these flying around, being mobbed by carrion crows. Saw what I thought was a another buzzard later but…
A surprising sight. Quite a few people were in the hide watching this.
